Spring Carnival!

April 17, 2017

Dear Parents and HIS Community,

The PTA and grade 11 CAS students with the support of the Student Council will be organizing the annual HIS Spring Carnival – HIS’ biggest charity event – on Friday, April 21. On this evening, we will have food, drinks, activities for children, a flea market, a spectacular Korean dance/music group, a raffle draw and performances. If you were here last school year, you may recall attending a similar event, which benefited Blue Dragon. The event raised over US$ 2800 thanks to the generous time and donations that our community put forth. This year we want to do better!

Proceeds to this year’s event will go to the Blue Dragon Foundation. Since 2003, The Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation has been helping children in crisis, providing services to street children such as education, nutrition, health care, counseling, physical and creative activities, rescue, legal advocacy and safe shelter. You can see more about their organization and their worthy causes at www.bluedragon.org.

In order to raise as much money as possible for their cause, we are relying on the help of the families in our school by asking you to donate an item that is worthy of being raffled or auctioned off, or a monetary donation. If you are unsure as to what to donate, please contact your parent representative:

To support our CAS students to reach their goal of raising money, we are relying on the help of the families in our school by asking you to donate money, or item(s) that can be used in the raffle or flea market. To add incentive and make it fun, your child will receive a point toward their class when they turn in their contribution. The winning class will be given a special treat sponsored by the PTA.

If you are unsure as to what to donate, please contact your parent representative:
